Lemongrass essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the green parts of the Cymbopogon Flexuosus plant, which belongs to the cereal family. The aroma of lemongrass oil is intense, bright, citrus (most reminiscent of lemon), sweet, with floral undertones (geranium, rose, lavender), fresh grassy green nuances, spicy and sour aspects. You can also distinguish woody and waxy nuances. Lemongrass oil often has a rather specific shade, somewhat reminiscent of chamomile. But in general, the aroma of lemongrass essential oil is very similar to citrus essential oil in the first place.
